Omega-3 fatty acid DHA
The omega-3 fatty acid DHA is important for the development of the brain * and vision * of the fetus. Omega-3 fatty acids reach the fetus through the placenta. They are also passed on to your baby through breastfeeding. This contributes to the development of the eyes and brain of your baby, because the DHA omega-3 fatty acids are transferred to your baby through breast milk.
* Beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg DHA by the mother, in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg DHA and EPA. Möller’s Omega-3 provides 600 mg of DHA per daily dose (5 ml / 1 dessert spoon).
Vitamin A is necessary for the development of vision and for the building of the skin and mucous membranes of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract of the baby. This vitamin also supports the pregnant woman’s defense against infections. During pregnancy you need 25% more vitamin A than usual. The daily recommended amount of vitamin A is increased from 800 to 1,000 micrograms during pregnancy.
Sufficient vitamin A during pregnancy is therefore important, but too much of this vitamin must be prevented. Do not eat too many vitamin A rich products during pregnancy, such as liver, pate and liver sausage. For example, a slice of liver pate contains 350 micrograms of vitamin A. The recommended daily intake of vitamin A during pregnancy is 1,000 micrograms per day (maximum safe dose for pregnant women is 3,000 micrograms per day).

Which flavor for which age?
All 3 flavors of Möller’s Omega-3 are equal in nutritional values. They differ only in taste. Möller’s Omega-3 Natural and Lemon have a more soft, natural taste than the Möller’s Omega-3 Tutti Frutti. Möller’s Tutti Frutti and Lemon are favorite with children.
- To prevent cod liver oil stains on clothing, you can give your baby cod liver oil before taking a bath or when changing clothes.
